great room but noisy planes
The room was spacious with stunning views of both the sea and the Pyrenees. Watching the planes land over the water was exciting and added a unique element to our stay.
However, the proximity to the airport did cause some excitement during landing.

You asked, I answered
Resting in a historic gem, we reveled in spacious elegance with delightful sea views. The charm of the old castle paired beautifully with thoughtful design, making our stay memorable. Spectacular location amidst local eateries, though managing parking was a minor challenge. Our experience was top-notch, and we can't wait to return someday!

Oh, the breakfast spread was a dream! Homemade preserves that could make your taste buds tango, and the local eateries nearby are pure gold. We had some incredible tapas at Antxina and Batzokia Jatetxea, just a stone's throw away! Overall, the vibe was totally laid-back, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
Well, I must spill the beans—the room had a bit of an old-school smell, maybe because of its rich history. Plus, soundproofing wasn't top-tier. you might catch some late-night plumbing symphonies from next door.

The Parador De Hondarribia is beautifully decorated with rich history evident in its coffered arches and tapestries. I particularly enjoyed the charming courtyard which offered stunning views of the sea, making it a perfect place to relax.
More accessibility for luggage assistance is needed.

The historical charm of the castle was captivating, with beautiful arches and rich tapestries. However, the numerous stairs made navigating a bit tricky for seniors, which was surprising given the elegant setting.
More accessible entrances and assistance for luggage needed.

Stunning medieval architecture captivates at every turn, with rich tapestries and coffered arches that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The charming courtyard provides breathtaking views of the sea, perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring the beautiful old town.
Parking’s a bit tricky with narrow streets, and the gated area costs an extra 20 Euros, adding to the already high room prices. The lack of an on-site restaurant can be inconvenient, especially after a long day. you’ll need to wander into the town for meals. Noise between rooms can be a factor. late-night plumbing sounds from neighboring rooms can disrupt the peace. Also, beware of the minimalistic decor in standard rooms—it might feel underwhelming for the price you’re paying.

I stayed in a Superior Double Room, and it had some really charming features. The view over the sea was breathtaking, and the room itself was quite comfortable with nice decor. However, it definitely had an old-school smell, maybe from its history. Some noise from the plumbing next door was a bit annoying. Still, the overall vibe was cozy, you know?

Staying in a Junior Suite with a stunning sea view was a highlight. The staff went above and beyond, sharing insights on local history and even assisting with the Basque language. Breakfast was a delightful surprise, especially accommodating my celiac needs, and the evening pinchos in the town were fantastic. However, accessing the parking lot can be tricky due to the steep incline, and the public parking options are not immediately visible.

Amazing stay with sea views
We had an awesome time at this place! The room was a Junior Suite with stunning sea views. The breakfast in the atrium was delicious and the staff were super friendly, even sharing local tips. The only thing was finding it was a bit tricky with all the roadworks. No regrets tho!
